Where in the world am I?
For the benefit of all you stalker types, I have taken the liberty of providing a few maps indicating all the places on the globe I have lived. Each map below is a link to a larger version of itself.
My current abode is Clapham, an area of London (51.46°N 0.13°W). I have lived here since 2006. From 2003 to 2006, I lived in Kaiserslautern (49.45°N 7.75°E), a small German city about halfway between Paris and Munich. For most of 2003, I lived in the beautiful Hungarian city of Budapest (47.50°N 19.08°E). If you are planning to visit there you may wish to read my restaurant reviews.
Before I came to Europe, I went to university at the University of Toronto (43.65°N 79.38°W). However, I am originally from Regina (50.45°N 104.61°W), a small prairie city near the centre of North America. I also lived and worked in Minneapolis (44.98°N 93.26°W) in the spring and summer of 2000.
For the summer of 1999–2000, I moved to Australia, where I lived and worked in the cities of Brisbane (27.46°S 153.02°E) and Perth (31.96°S 115.84°E). Perth is a very beautiful city with an excellent climate; if I ever move back to Australia, I will live in Perth.
What the future holds for me geographically is hard to say. I enjoy living in Europe very much, and for a variety of climactic and cultural reasons I have no desire to live in North America. I think that I would like to live in Vienna (Wien) (48.22°N 16.37°E) some day — I've been there a few times, and the city made a good impression on me. (It's like Budapest, but with more gold and less graffiti.) I would also like to work temporarily in Riyadh (رياض) (24.65°N 46.77°E) as I am interested in the language and culture, and the hot, dry climate would suit me well.
